Thai Police Rescue 6 Call Center Scam Victims in Cross-Border Operation

Thai police successfully rescued six Thai men who were victims of a cross-border “call center” scam, after they were lured abroad by false promises of high-paying jobs.

The men were intercepted before the criminal syndicate could move them to evade escalating investigations. Authorities will verify their victim status, offering protection to the innocent while prosecuting any found to be involved in criminal activities.

This rescue is part of ongoing regional efforts, including collaboration with Myanmar and Cambodia, to combat transnational fraud and human trafficking, with police urging public vigilance against deceptive overseas job offers.
