Russian Attack on Kyiv Kills Mother, Infant; 16 Injured, Police Say

KYIV, Ukraine – A 32-year-old woman and her two-month-old son were killed in a Russian attack on Kyiv, with at least 16 other people, including police officers, injured, Ukraine’s National Police reported.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, the bodies of the mother and child were partially recovered from the rubble of a multi-story building. Fires erupted in three buildings, and cars along with warehouse premises were destroyed by fire. Two patrol officers sustained injuries and were hospitalized.

Separately, in the Darnytskyi district, a fire broke out in a five-story building, leading to the destruction of its third floor. The roof of an administrative building in the Pecherskyi district was also damaged.
