He expressed strong anger over pervasive corruption, likening it to dishonest officials using citizens’ hard-earned money for personal luxury, and vowed to pursue difficult reforms against deeply entrenched corruption, even if it means “breaking eggs to make an omelet.” Marcos emphasized that the Filipino people are his ultimate priority, above all others, including friends or political allies.
