Myanmar Police Launch Anti-Fraud Awareness Campaign with Regional Videos

MYANMAR – Myanmar police have launched a comprehensive anti-fraud awareness campaign across the country, utilizing promotional videos distributed by the Lancang-Mekong Law Enforcement Cooperation Center (LMLCC) in June 2025. The initiative aims to enhance public understanding of fraud identification, prevention, and countermeasures within the Lancang-Mekong region.

As part of the “Safe Lancang-Mekong 2025” joint action plan, the LMLCC provided two anti-fraud videos to various national law enforcement agencies. Myanmar authorities prioritized this effort, distributing the content to 16 central government ministries and agencies.

The videos were shown during seminars, training courses, and on online learning platforms. To further broaden reach, they were also published on the official website of Myanmar’s Ministry of Transport and Communications, broadcast via MRTV, and shared across other mainstream media and social platforms, leading to expanded coverage and positive outcomes. The widespread dissemination seeks to equip citizens with essential knowledge to combat fraudulent activities effectively.
