Cambodia Condemns Thai Violence and Urges Adherence to Agreements to De-escalate Tensions

Cambodia has vehemently condemned the violence perpetrated by Thai authorities against Cambodian citizens and monks, urging an immediate halt to these abuses.

The Cambodian government demands that Thailand adhere strictly to the ceasefire agreement, the spirit of the GBC and RBC meetings, Article 4 of the 2000 MOU, and international human rights and humanitarian laws.

Reaffirming its commitment to resolving border issues peacefully through existing bilateral agreements and international conventions, Cambodia earnestly appeals to Thailand to uphold these principles to maintain the ceasefire, de-escalate military tensions, and prevent a resurgence of armed conflict.
