Cambodia Condemns Thai Military Incursion and Violence at Border

‎The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation strongly condemned the aggressive and provocative actions by Thai armed forces on September 17, 2025, in Prey Chan village, Banteay Meanchey province.Thai soldiers reportedly intruded into Cambodian territory, deploying tear gas, rubber bullets, and high-frequency sound devices, causing injuries to several Cambodian civilians, including monks, during a peaceful confrontation.Cambodia views these actions, including alleged live ammunition use, as a severe violation of its sovereignty and international law, urging Thailand to cease hostilities and exercise restraint.The ministry also called upon the international community, especially ASEAN, to address these alarming developments and supports peaceful dialogue and bilateral mechanisms to resolve border disputes, emphasizing mutual understanding and regional stability.
